Hello Evans Families!
After a relaxing and fun-filled summer, we are excited to be back for the beginning of year season! It's been a busy campus at Evans - we can't wait for our families to see the completed summer projects. New landscaping, gym and cafeteria floors, and interior paint have given our school a refreshed and updated look and feel. It's perfect for welcoming our Wildcat Community back to for the 2025-26 school year.
Please mark your calendars for Thursday, July 31st- we'll host our annual Open House from 4:00-6:00PM at Evans. Details will be sent from your student's teacher earlier that week. Open House is a great opportunity to meet our staff and tour the building. You'll also have the opportunity to learn about the resources and assistance we can provide from Evans. Most importantly, we want to support your family's transition back to school so we're prepared to help you set up Power School, pay your fees, sign up for transportation, and answer any questions you have about Evans or District 49.
We've invited all kindergarteners to Evans on Wednesday, July 30th from 9:00-11:00am. We're "rounding up" the group so they can have a jump start at learning the procedures and expectations at Evans. Parents will need to park and come in to sign in the kindergarteners that morning. Then on Friday, August 1st, kindergarteners will start school.
On Monday, August 4th, all students return! You will receive communication from your classroom teacher before the first day of school, and an invitation to join class Dojo.
We will continue to provide all school supplies so you don't need to buy anything. The single student fee this year is $60, which covers supplies and field trips. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, that fee will be reduced or eliminated. There are other benefits for your family if you qualify for free/reduced lunch, so it's important to apply!
