School Information

Hello Wildcat Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We hope you had a wonderful summer. We are excited to welcome back our returning Wildcats and greet all of our new families joining the Evans community this year.

To help you prepare for the start of school, please review our Wildcat Welcome Letter on the Evans website for important back-to-school information. 

We look forward to seeing everyone at Open House on Thursday, July 30, from 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Back-to-School Checklist

1. Log in to the Parent Portal

Please make sure you can access your Parent Portal before Open House. This is where you will:

  • As of 7/22, you'll be able to view your student's teacher assignment (Kindergarten families will receive teacher assignments at Open House.)
  • Report absences
  • Update contact information
  • Complete required district forms
  • View/pay school fees

2. Complete the Technology Agreement
While logged into the Parent Portal, select Forms from the navigation menu and complete the Annual Contact and Address Verification and Student Use of the Internet and Electronic Communications form.

3. Review School Fees
Pay any outstanding school fees or apply for Free & Reduced Fee Benefits. Families must submit a new application each school year. If you have recently applied or have been approved for Free & Reduced Benefits, please wait until your application has been processed before paying school fees. Please login to your PaySchools Central account to apply.

4. Stay Connected
Follow Evans Elementary on Facebook and Instagram for school news, reminders, and celebrations throughout the year!

Parent Portal Setup

Need help accessing your Parent Portal? Follow these steps, or stop by during Open House. We'll be available to answer any parent portal questions. You can also email the registrar anytime at krystal.hocking@d49.org if you have questions.

  • Access ID: Your student's ID number (found in your post-registration email)
  • Access Password: Your student's birthdate with no leading zeros
    • Example: Birthday 02/07/2019 → Password: 272019
